About the Role:

Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of the VCS Quality System and ensure compliance with documented procedures and processes. Report non-conformances and complaints, and where required, take appropriate action according to documented quality system procedures.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Assist with end to end recruitment including revision of job descriptions, advertising, candidate application management, tracking, selection, on boarding and induction programs.
  • Coordination of all onboarding documentation including police and education checks for candidates.
  • Assist with maintaining accuracy of all HR filing and systems.

General HR Support

  • Maintenance of HR records management and systems to ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements, including verification and authorisation of all new employees and terminations. Advise management of incorrect personnel records, including incorrect terms and conditions.
  • Provide advice to staff and managers/supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, guidelines and documentation.
  • Develop, update and maintain HR correspondence, letters documentation, forms, templates etc.
  • Provide effective and timely HR advice and support to staff and managers in relation to HR issues/activities.
  • Prepare HR reports as and when required.

Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S):

Provide efficient and effective support to the HR team to:

  • Coordinate Health & Safety quarterly meetings including taking minutes and distribution of outcomes and actions.
  • Ensure all OH&S related forms, templates and guidelines are kept up to date in compliance with OHS Act and Regulations.
  • Coordinate the First Aid, Fire Warden, Contact Officer and related OH&S training and maintain records.
  • Assist in the reporting of workplace accidents, incidents and hazards reports received by HR.

Other

  • As the business develops, the position will continue to evolve and the incumbent will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to work requirements and to undertake new or alternative duties as required. This may include new technology usage, new work procedures and customer service delivery systems. Changes will involve the employee and will be supported with training.
  • Other duties as required.

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Practical/working understanding of Awards, Agreements and contracts.
  • Demonstrated technical and functional experience supporting a small to medium volume HR environment ideally with exposure to PayGlobal and SCOUT recruitment.
  • A high level of computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid experience or tertiary qualification in Human Resource or related field.
  • Demonstrated high level of conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and ability to use absolute discretion in dealing with sensitive or confidential information
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Maintenance of a spirit of trust and confidence with other staff and fostering of this behaviour in others.
  • Maintenance of Confidentiality as prescribed for health care providers in accordance with relevant legislation and VCS Policy.
  • Applicants will be required to undergo a Police Check.

  • Satisfy a Police check in accordance with VCS Foundation policy.
